OVERVIEW: Anne Gracie is "dependably terrific,"* and now the honor winning creator conveys a spic and span arrangement around four young ladies very nearly desperation—until the point that a challenging demonstration changes their fortune and changes every one of them into a gleaming lady of the hour…
Reader's Review: The parents of the children in her care were dastardly and strict toward their tutor, Abigail Chantry, so when she learned of her sister Jane alongside two companions, Daisy and Damaris, being in critical straits and requiring wellbeing, their refusal to permit the young ladies under their rooftop didn't amaze Abby. The four young ladies promised to remain together perpetually – sisters in everything except blood; however obviously Jane was Abby's sister – their battles to survive sent them toward a path they could never have imagined they'd head.
Master Max Davenham had been far from England for nine long years – he had left his elderly Aunt Beatrice to be tended to while he voyaged, however he was worried for his auntie's wellbeing and returned sooner than he'd been normal. Max's stun at finding his slight and clearly unwell auntie in the organization of young ladies who were calling themselves her nieces was extraordinary; his assurance to find the thought processes of the sisters Chance and remove them from his family unit, unflinching.
What might the future hold for Abby, Jane, Damaris and Daisy in the hands of the pompous Lord Davenham? Was Aunt Beatrice sufficiently solid to challenge the nephew she hadn't seen since he was close to a kid?
The Autumn Bride is my first by Aussie creator Anne Gracie, and it most unquestionably won't be my last! I altogether delighted in this reviving and engaging chronicled sentiment set in London in the 1800s and am anticipating the following in the arrangement, The Winter Bride. Exceptionally prescribed.
